Gom Kora

Some times called Gomphu Kora (Gomphu meaning Mediation Place and Kora meaning Circumambulation) is a picturesque temple just 13 Kms away from Trashigang Chazam (Iron bridge). It is believed that Guru Rinpoche, an 8th century Buddhist saint responsible for bringing Buddhism to Bhutan, meditated here and left a body impression on the rock. The Guru is supposed to have subdued a demon by crushing it into the rock. During March/ April, a festival lasting three days is held here.
